Seth A. Biser, M.D., is a Board-Certified, Johns Hopkins-trained ophthalmologist who is also an award-winning Clinica
l Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at N.Y.U. and the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He is fellowship-trained in corneal transplantation, LASIK and other forms of laser vision correction, advanced cataract surgery, and anterior segment reconstruction. He sees and treats patients in Fleetwood, NY (in southern Westchester, NY, 1/2 mile from Bronxville) as well as in Greenwich, CT. He serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the New York Eye Bank for Sight Restoration.
Dr. Biser graduated with Honors and Distinction in All Subjects from Cornell University. He received his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. He served his internship at Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, where he won Glaxo-Wellcome Award for Outstanding Performance during Internship.
He underwent three years of residency training in ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. During
his transition from residency to a highly competitive corneal fellowship in New York, he won a Heed Fellowship, which is given to fewer than 30 ophthalmologists nationwide each year.
Following fellowship, in 2003, he became board-certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He began teaching at New York University, and was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. During his second year of teaching, Dr. Biser was voted Ophthalmology Surgical Attending of the Year at N.Y.U. for his surgical teaching of ophthalmology residents. He still volunteers as an Attending Physician on the N.Y.U. Cornea Service.
Dr. Biser has published articles, abstracts, and book chapters; presented findings at national and international meetings; and received several awards for his research. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the Medical Advisory Board of The Eye Bank for Sight Restoration (New York).

Clinical Practice
Dr. Biser entered private practice of ophthalmology immediately upon the conclusion of his fellowship in 2002, while also assuming a teaching position at N.Y.U. In 2004, he assumed ownership of Fleetwood Ophthalmology, a practice that was originally founded in the 1970s. Dr. Biser brought advanced cataract , corneal, and refractive surgery techniques to the community, and his practice expanded rapidly, almost solely via word-of-mouth reputation by happy patients and referring doctors. 
In 2005, Dr. Biser became a Staff Attending at Lawrence Hospital (Bronxville, NY), where, in 2007, he performed the hospital’s first-ever small-incision corneal transplant (DSEK).
In 2008, he joined forces with Alexis Finlay, M.D., the senior partner of Greenwich Eye Specialists, and was admitted to the staff of Greenwich Hospital (Greenwich, CT).
Dr. Biser continues to selectively provide cutting-edge, innovative services to his patients, as well as attentive, individualized care.
